THE WIFE OF PROPHET LUT (LOT) A.S

 

 

The wife of Prophet Lut (Lot) wife was not among those who committed obscenity but she was open minded not backward (in today's language).

She accepted and supported their behaviour, as if she was saying "it's your life, live the way you want to" so the result was:

{ فَأَنجَیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥۤ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ كَانَتۡ مِنَ ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ }

[Surah Al-Aʿrāf: 83]

“So, we saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was of those who remained [with the evildoers]." (7:83)

This has been the lesson for thousands of years to anyone who claims to be open minded regarding God's limits.
