*I'tedal (Moderation): A Timeless Islamic Value*
*It is demanded from the believers to undertake a middle path between two extremes (Israf and Bukhl) *
THE ART OF SPENDING AND NOT SPENDING...
Al-Israa: 26,27,28
وَآتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَلَا تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيرًا (26)
*And give the relative his right, and the poor and the traveler, and do not spend wastefully. *
إِنَّ الْمُبَذِّرِينَ كَانُوا إِخْوَانَ الشَّيَاطِينِ ۖ وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِرَبِّهِ كَفُورًا (27)
*Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful. *
وَإِمَّا تُعْرِضَنَّ عَنْهُمُ ابْتِغَاءَ رَحْمَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكَ تَرْجُوهَا فَقُل لَّهُمْ قَوْلًا مَّيْسُورًا (28)
*And if you turn away from the needy awaiting mercy from your Lord which you expect, then speak to them a gentle word. *
🌷 _These three articles are meant to impress that a man should not reserve his earnings and his wealth exclusively for his own person. _
_He should do his utmost to fulfill his own necessities of life in a "moderate way" and render the rights of his relatives, neighbors and other needy persons as well. _
▪ _This attitude will help create the spirit of cooperation, sympathy and justice_
*Thus, every relative will cooperate with the other and every rich person will help the needy*
