Beautiful Hadith about Prophet ISA (jesus pbuh)

 

 

وعن همام عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أنا أولى الناس بعيسى ابن مريم في الدنيا والآخرة، قالوا يا رسول الله كيف ؟ قال الأنبياء إخوة من علات وأمهاتهم شتى ودينهم واحد وليس بيننا نبي 

 

أخرجه البخاري ومسلم ، وأبو داود من رواية الزهري عن أبي سلمة عن أبي هريرة ، وأخرجه البخاري أيضا من رواية عبد الرحمن بن أبي عمرة عن أبي هريرة

Abu Hurairah (Radiallahu Anhu) reported many ahadith from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and one is that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:

 

I am most close to Jesus, son of Mary, among the whole of mankind in this worldly life and the next life.

 

They said: Allah's Messenger how is it?

 

Thereupon he said: Prophets are brothers in faith, having different mothers. Their religion is, however, one and there is no Apostle between us (between I and Jesus Christ).

 

(Sahih Muslim 2365c, Book 43, Hadith 190)!

 

Islam came to reaffirm that which came before it. The Abrahamic faiths have much in common and we believe in the original, unaltered texts of scripture.

 

May our actions, intentions and deeds bring us close to the Prophet (SAW) in the Hereafter - Ameen!
