FORGOTTEN RESPECT

 

Allāh states: “If one observes the sanctity of the symbols of God, then such things emanate from the piety of the hearts.” [Qur'ān 22:32]

 

We need to keep this verse in mind no matter what we do. Unfortunately, there are some common practices among Muslims that contravene Islamic etiquette and adab, which need our attention and correction. Some of these are:

 

- Feet towards the Qur’ān or any Islamic book.

 

- Feet towards Qibla.

 

- Feet towards the parents.

 

- Feet towards the teachers and elders.

 

The Holy Prophet ﷺ said: “The best amongst you are those with the best manners.”
