 1. الآذان (Ears) - أُذُنٌ

 

 

 

 وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْأَنفَ بِالْأَنفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ

 

 "And We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear"

 

 Quran 5:45

 2. الأذقان (Chins) - ذَقَنٌ

 

 

 

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِىٓ أَعْنَـٰقِهِمْ أَغْلَـٰلًۭا فَهِىَ إِلَى ٱلْأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ ٨

 

˹It is as if˺ We have put shackles around their necks up to their chins, so their heads are forced up,

 

 Quran 36:8

 3. الأرحام (Wombs) - رِحْمٌ

 

 

 هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَوِّرُكُمْ فِي الْأَرْحَامِ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ

 

"It is He who forms you in the wombs however He wills."

 

Quran 3:6

 4. الأصلاب (Backbones/Loins) - الصُّلْبُ

 

 

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ... وَرَبَائِبُكُمُ اللَّاتِي فِي حُجُورِكُم مِّن نِّسَائِكُمُ اللَّاتِي دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّ... وَحَلَائِلُ أَبْنَائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ أَصْلَابِكُمْ

 

 "Prohibited to you [for marriage] are your mothers, your daughters... your step-daughters who are under your guardianship [born] of your wives unto whom you have gone in... and the wives of your sons who are from your [own] loins"

 

 Quran 4:23

 

 

 فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ۝ خُلِقَ مِن مَّاءٍ دَافِقٍ ۝ يَخْرُجُ مِن بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ

 

 "So let man observe from what he was created. He was created from a fluid, ejected, Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs."

 

 Quran 86:5-7

 5. الأعناق (Necks) - عُنُقٌ

 

 

 وَجَعَلْنَا فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ أَغْلَالًا فَهِيَ إِلَى الْأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ

 

 "And We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to the chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft."

 

 Quran 36:8

 6. الأفئدة (Hearts) - فُؤَادٌ

 

 

 وَلَـٰكِن لِّيَرْبِطَ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِهِ... وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ

 

 "But [We did so] that We might make his heart firm... And We will turn away their hearts and their eyes"

 

 Quran 6:110

 7. الأمعاء (Intestines) - مِعَيٌ

 

 

 مَّثَلُ الْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ ۖ فِيهَا أَنْهَارٌ مِّن مَّاءٍ غَيْرِ آسِنٍ... وَسُقُوا مَاءً حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءَهُمْ

 

 "Is the description of Paradise, which the righteous are promised, wherein are rivers of water unaltered [by time]... and be given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines?"

 

 Quran 47:15

 8. الأنف (Nose)

 

 

وَالْأَنفَ بِالْأَنفِ

 

 "A nose for a nose"

 9. البدن (Body) - بَدَنٌ

 

 

 فَالْيَوْمَ نُنَجِّيكَ بِبَدَنِكَ لِتَكُونَ لِمَنْ خَلْفَكَ آيَةً

 

 "So today We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you a sign."

 

 Quran 10:92

 10. البنان (Fingertips) - بَنَانَةٌ

 

 

 فَاضْرِبُوا فَوْقَ الْأَعْنَاقِ وَاضْرِبُوا مِنْهُمْ كُلَّ بَنَانٍ

 

 "So strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."

 

 Quran 8:12

 

 

 بَلَىٰ قَادِرِينَ عَلَىٰ أَن نُّسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُ

 

 "Yes. [We are] Able even to proportion his fingertips."

 

Quran 75:4

 11. الجلود (Skins) - جِلْدٌ

 

 

 إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِمْ نَارًا كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُودُهُمْ بَدَّلْنَاهُمْ جُلُودًا غَيْرَهَا

 

"Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our verses - We will drive them into a Fire. Every time their skins are roasted through We will replace them with other skins"

 

 Quran 4:56

 12. حبل الوريد (Jugular Vein)

 

 

 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ ۖ وَنَحْنُ

أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ

 

 "And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein"

 

 Quran 50:16

13. الحناجر (Throats) - حَنْجَرَةٌ

 

 

 إِذْ جَاءُوكُم مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ وَمِنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنكُمْ وَإِذْ زَاغَتِ الْأَبْصَارُ وَبَلَغَتِ الْقُلُوبُ الْحَنَاجِرَ

 

 "When they came at you from above you and from below you, and when eyes shifted [in fear], and hearts reached the throats"

 

 Quran 33:10

 14. الدم (Blood) - دَمٌ

 

 

 حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنزِيرِ

 

 "Prohibited to you is dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine"

 

 Quran 5:3

 15. الرأس (Head) - رَّأْسٌ

 

 

 فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِّن رَّأْسِهِ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِّن صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ

 

 "And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making shaving necessary must offer] a ransom of fasting [three days] or charity or sacrifice"

 

 Quran 2:196

 16. السوءات (Private Parts) - سَوْءَةَ

 

 

 فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ غُرَابًا يَبْحَثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُ كَيْفَ يُوَارِي سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ

 

"Then Allah sent a crow searching in the ground to show him how to hide the disgrace of his brother"

 

 Quran 5:31

 17. الأصابع (Fingers) - اُصْبُوْعٌ

 

 يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِم مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ

 

 "They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death"

 

 Quran 2:19

 18. الصدر (Chest/Breast) - صَدْرٌ

 

 

 رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي

 

"My Lord, expand for me my breast [chest]"

 

 Quran 20:25

 19. الظهر (Back) - ظَهْرٌ

 

 

 وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ الْكَذِبَ هَـٰذَا حَلَالٌ وَهَـٰذَا حَرَامٌ... كَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ نَبَذُوا كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ

 

 "And do not say about what your tongues assert of untruth, 'This is lawful and this is unlawful'... like those before you threw the Scripture of Allah behind their backs"

 

 Quran 2:101

 20. القلب (Heart) - قَلْبٌ

 

 

 خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ

 

 "Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing"

 

 Quran 2:7

 21. اللحم (Flesh/Meat) - لَحْمٌ

 

 

 لَن يَنَالَ اللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَـٰكِن يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَىٰ مِنكُمْ

 

 "Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you"

 

 Quran 22:37

 22. المضغة (Lump of Flesh) - مُضْغَةٌ

 

 

 يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّنَ الْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍ

 

 "O People, if you should be in doubt about the resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh"

 

 Quran 22:5

 23. الوتين (Aorta/Life Artery)

 

 

 لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمِينِ ۝ ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِينَ

 

 "We would have seized him by the right hand; Then We would have cut from him the aorta"

 

 Quran 69:45-46

 24. الأرجل (Feet) - رِجْلٌ

 

 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ

 

 "O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles"

 

 Quran 5:6

25. الأعقاب (Heels) - عَقِبٌ

 

 

وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ ۚ أَفَإِن مَّاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ انقَلَبْتُمْ عَلَىٰ أَعْقَابِكُمْ

 

 

"Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels?"

 

 Quran 3:144

 26. الأعين (Eyes) - عَيْنٌ

 

 

وَتَرَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِهِ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِندِ رَبِّنَا ۗ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّا أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ... وَتَفِيضُ أَعْيُنُهُم مِّنَ الدَّمْعِ

 

 

"And you see those who were given knowledge saying, 'We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord.'... and their eyes overflow with tears"

 

 Quran 5:83

 27. الأفواه (Mouths) - فَمٌ

 

 

 يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ إِلَّا أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ

 

 

"They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light"

 

 Quran 9:32

 28. الأنامل (Fingertips) - اُنْمُلَةٌ

 

 

 هَا أَنتُمْ أُولَاءِ تُحِبُّونَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِبُّونَكُمْ... وَإِذَا خَلَوْا عَضُّوا عَلَيْكُمُ الْأَنَامِلَ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ

 

 "Here you are loving them but they are not loving you... But when they are alone, they bite their fingertips at you in rage"

 

 Quran 3:119

 29. الأيدي (Hands) - يَدٌ

 

 

 يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ

 

 "O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your hands to the elbows"

 

 Quran 5:6

30. البطن (Belly/Abdomen) - بَطْنِ

 

 

 مِن بُطُونِهَا شَرَابٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُهُ فِيهِ شِفَاءٌ لِّلنَّاسِ

 

"There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people"

 

 Quran 16:69

 31. الجيد (Neck) - جِيدٌ

 

 

 فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ

 

 "Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber"

 32. الحلقوم (Throat)

 

 

 فَلَوْلَا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ

 

 "Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat"

 33. الخرطوم (Snout/Nose)

 

 

 سَنَسِمُهُ عَلَى الْخُرْطُومِ

 

 "We will brand him upon the snout"

 34. الرقاب (Necks) - رَقَبَة

 

 

۞ لَّيْسَ ٱلْبِرَّ أَن تُوَلُّوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱلْبِرَّ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ وَٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ وَءَاتَى ٱلْمَالَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ ذَوِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينَ وَٱبْنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَٱلسَّآئِلِينَ وَفِى ٱلرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱلْمُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَـٰهَدُوا۟ ۖ وَٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ فِى ٱلْبَأْسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَحِينَ ٱلْبَأْسِ ۗ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا۟ ۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ١٧٧

 

Righteousness is not in turning your faces towards the east or the west. Rather, the righteous are those who believe in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Books, and the prophets; who give charity out of their cherished wealth to relatives, orphans, the poor, ˹needy˺ travellers, beggars, and for freeing captives; who establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and keep the pledges they make; and who are patient in times of suffering, adversity, and in ˹the heat of˺ battle. It is they who are true ˹in faith˺, and it is they who are mindful ˹of Allah˺.

 

 

 

 Quran 2:177

 35. الظفر (Claw/Nail) - ظُفُرٍ

 

 

 وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِي ظُفُرٍ

 

 "And to those who are Jews We prohibited every [animal] of uncloven hoof"

 

 Quran 6:146

 36. العضد (Upper Arm)

 

 

 سَنَشُدُّ عَضُدَكَ بِأَخِيكَ

 

 "We will strengthen your arm through your brother"

 37. العظام (Bones) - عَظْمٌ

 

 

 ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَامًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْمًا

 

"Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh"

 

 Quran 23:14

 38. الشفة (Lips) - شَفَتَيْنِ

 

 

 أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُ عَيْنَيْنِ ۝ وَلِسَانًا وَشَفَتَيْنِ

 

 "Have We not made for him two eyes? And a tongue and two lips"

 

 Quran 90:8-9

 39. الكعبين (Two Ankles)

 

 

 وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ

 

 "And [wash] your feet to the ankles"

 وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ

 

 "And We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein"
