The Companions رضي الله عنهم preserved and transmitted the sayings, actions and guidance of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ.
Among them were outstanding narrators whose reports became essential sources for the scholars of Ḥadīth.
Some narrated thousands of reports, while others became particularly known for their knowledge, understanding and careful transmission.
The following are ten notable Companions whose contributions remain central to the study of the Sunnah.
