We gather here the luminous pearls of wisdom imparted to us by our revered teachers—may **Allah the Almighty** preserve their legacy, amplify their reward, and continue to benefit the Ummah through their knowledge. May their teachings remain a means of guidance for us in this world, a source of **continuous charity (Sadaqah Jariyah)** in the next, and an intercession on the Day when neither wealth nor children will avail, except those who come to Allah with a sound heart. *Allahumma Ameen.*

** 1. مَا لَا يُدْرَكُ كُلُّهُ لَا يُتْرَكُ كُلُّهُ**
**Translation:** "What cannot be fully attained should not be entirely abandoned."
*(Take what you can get, even if you can't have it all.)*

** 2. العِلْمُ فِي الرَّأْسِ لَا فِي الكُرَّاسِ**
**Translation:** "Knowledge is in the head, not in the notebook."
*(True understanding comes from memory, not just writing.)*

** 3. إِنْ قَوْلِي أَعْجَبَكَ فَخُذُوهُ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْجِبْكَ فَدَعُوهُ**
**Translation:** "If my words please you, take them; if not, leave them."

** 4. لَا تُدْسِ أَنْفَكَ فِيمَا لَا يَعْنِيكَ تَسْمَعُ مَا لَا يُرْضِيكَ**

** 5. العِلْمُ بَحْرٌ بِلا سَاحِلٍ**
**Translation:** "Knowledge is a shoreless sea."

** 6. العِلْمُ تُعْطِهِ كُلَّكَ يُعْطِكَ بَعْضَهُ**
**Translation:** "Give knowledge your all, and it will give you some."

** 7. خُذِ العِلْمَ مِمَّنْ فَوْقَكَ وَمَنْ فِي مُسْتَوَاكَ وَمَنْ دُونَكَ**
**Translation:** "Take knowledge from those above you, at your level, and below you."

** 8. القِرْدُ فِي عَيْنِ أُمِّهِ غَزَالٌ**
**Translation:** "A monkey is a gazelle in its mother’s eyes."

** 9. إِذَا قَادَ الأَعْمَى الأَعْمَى كِلَاهُمَا وَقَعَا فِي البِئْرِ**
**Translation:** "If the blind leads the blind, both will fall into the pit."

** 10. إِذَا أَحَبَّ الحِمَارُ الحِمَارَ رَكَلَهُ**
**Translation:** "If a donkey loves another donkey, it kicks him."

** 11. أَسَدٌ عَلَيَّ وَفِي الحُرُوبِ نَعَامَةٌ**
**Translation:** "A lion against me, but in battles, an ostrich."

** 12. الحِفْظُ فِي الصِّغَرِ كَالنَّقْشِ عَلَى الحَجَرِ**
**Translation:** "Memorizing in youth is like engraving on stone."

** 13. الجَزَاءُ مِنْ جِنْسِ العَمَلِ**
**Translation:** "The reward matches the deed."
*(As you sow, so shall you reap.)*

** 14. فِي الحَرَكَةِ بَرَكَةٌ**
**Translation:** "In movement, there is blessing."
*(Action brings prosperity.)*

** 15. إِذَا غَابَتِ الهِرَّةُ خَرَجَتِ الفِئْرَانُ**
**Translation:** "When the cat is away, the mice come out."

** 16. مَنْ جَدَّ وَجَدَ، وَمَنْ زَرَعَ حَصَدَ**
**Translation:** "Whoever strives, achieves; whoever plants, harvests."

** 17. الوَقْتُ كَالسَّيْفِ، إِنْ لَمْ تَقْطَعْهُ قَطَعَكَ**
**Translation:** "Time is like a sword; if you don’t cut it, it cuts you."

** 18. إِذَا كَانَ الكَلَامُ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، فَالسُّكُوتُ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ**
**Translation:** "If speech is silver, silence is gold."

** 19. النَّاسُ سَوَاسِيَةٌ كَأَسْنَانِ المُشْطِ**
**Translation:** "People are equal like the teeth of a comb."

**Translation:** "As you judge, so shall you be judged."

** 21. أَكَلْتُ فُلْفُلًا فَتَفَلْفَلَ فَمِي، كَمْ فَاءً فِي ذَلِكَ؟**
**Translation:** "I ate pepper, and my mouth burned—how many 'fa’s' are in that?"

** 22. النَّوْمُ أَحْلَى إِلَيَّ مِنَ العَسَلِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تُصَدِّقْنِي فَاسْأَلِ الَّذِي مِثْلِي فِي الكَسَلِ**
**Translation:** "Sleep is sweeter to me than honey; if you don’t believe me, ask someone as lazy as I am."

** 23. الأُسْتَاذُ كَالأَبِ الحَانِي**

** 25. الدَّالُ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الدَّالُ؟ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى قِلَّةِ المَالِ وَكَثْرَةِ العِيَالِ
**Translation:** "The WORD 'Dāl' IN URDU mean grains (cheapest food in indo /pak — Do you know what it means? It signifies little money and many children!"

** 26. كَمْن مِثْلَ الشَّجَرِ ترْمِيهَا بِالأَحْجَارِ وَتُرْكِينِي بِالثِّمَارِ **
**Translation:** "How many trees do I stone, yet they reward me with fruit?"

** 27. الأُمُّ كَشَجَرَةٍ مُتَدَلِّيَةٍ بِالثِّمَارِ **

** 28. خَيْرُ الجُلُوسِ فِي الزَّمَانِ كِتَابٌ **
**Translation:** "The best companion in time is a book."

** 29. مَنْ كَانَ كِتَابُهُ شَيْخَهُ كَانَ أَخْطَأَهُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ صَوَابِهِ **
**Translation:** "Whoever takes books as their teacher will have more errors than correctness."

** 30. العِلْمُ نَقْلًا مِنْ جِيلٍ عَنْ جِيلٍ **

** 31. دَارِهِمْ مَا دُمْتَ فِي دَارِهِمْ **
**Translation:** "Live by their customs as long as you’re in their land."

**Translation:** "I sat with the entourage on the edge."

**Translation:** "May God increase your diligence."

** 34. الإِنْسَانُ حريص لِمَا مُنِعَ **

** 35. الرَّفِيقُ قَبْلَ الطَّرِيقِ **

*(Choose good company before setting out.)*

** 36. جَمَالُ الوَجْهِ مَعَ قُبْحِ النَّفْسِ كَقِنْدِيلٍ فَوْقَ قَبْرِ اليَهُودِ **
**Translation:** "A beautiful face with an ugly soul is like a lantern on a Jew’s grave."
*(Outward beauty means nothing with inner corruption.)*

** 37. الجَاحِظُ دَمِيمُ الخِلْقَةِ**
**Translation:** "Al-Jāḥiẓ was ugly in appearance."

** 38. أَتَاكَ الرَّبِيعُ طَلْقًا ضَاحِكًا حَتَّى كَادَ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ **

** 39. تِلْكَ العُصِيُّ مِنْ تِلْكَ العَصَا **
**Translation:** "Those sticks are from that stick."

** 40. الِاخْتِلَافُ مَعَ الائْتِلَافِ **
**Translation:** "Difference alongside harmony."

** 41. تَرْقُمُ عَلَى المَاءِ **

*(Wasted effort—nothing lasting.)*

** 42. كُرَّاسَتُكَ نَظِيفَةٌ **
**Translation:** "Your notebook is clean."
*(Sarcastic: You haven’t learned anything.)*

** 43. كُنْ آخِذَ الخَيْرِ **
**Translation:** "Be a taker of good."
*(Always seek benefit.)*

** 44. لَا تَبْنِي وَتهْدِمُ **

** 45. لَا تَتَّبِعْ زَلَلَ كُلِّ عَالِمٍ فَتَضِلَّ **
**Translation:** "Don’t follow every scholar’s mistake, or you’ll go astray."

** 46. خَيْرُ الكَلَامِ مَا قَلَّ وَدَلَّ **
**Translation:** "The best speech is brief and meaningful."

** 47. فَاقِدُ الشَّيْءِ لَا يُعْطِيهِ **
**Translation:** "One who lacks something cannot give it."

** 48. العِلْمُ صَيْدٌ وَالكِتَابَةُ قَيْدٌ **
**Translation:** "Knowledge is prey, and writing is its leash."

** 49. لِكُلِّ فَنٍّ رِجَالٌ **
**Translation:** "Every field has its experts."

** 50. الإِسْنَادُ مِنَ الدِّينِ **

** 54. بِضِدِّهَا تَتَمَيَّزُ الأَشْيَاءُ **
**Translation:** "Things are distinguished by their opposites."

** 55. مَنْ كَانَ بَدَايَتُهُ مُحْرِقَةً كَانَتْ نِهَايَتُهُ مُشْرِقَةً**
**Translation:** "Whoever’s beginning is burning, their end will be bright."

** 56. لَوْ أَنَّ قُلُوبَنَا طَهُرَتْ مَا شَبِعْنَا مِنْ كَلَامِ رَبِّنَا **
**Translation:** "If our hearts were pure, we’d never tire of God’s words."

** 57. ضِدَّانِ لَا يَجْتَمِعَانِ **
**Translation:** "Two opposites cannot coexist."

** 58. صِنْفَانِ مِنَ النَّاسِ لَنْ يَتَعَلَّمَ: المُسْتَحِي وَالمُتَكَبِّرُ **

** 59. إِنْ أَكْرَمْتَ الكَرِيمَ مَلَكْتَهُ، وَإِنْ أَكْرَمْتَ اللَّئِيمَ تَمَرَّدَ **

**Translation:** "Man is from forgetfulness."

62. **"العِلْمُ بِلا عَمَلٍ كَنَحْلٍ بِلا عَسَلٍ "**
- **Translation:** *Knowledge without action is like a bee without honey.*
- **Meaning:** Mere knowledge is worthless if not put into practice, just as a bee is useless if it doesn’t produce honey.
63. **"اليَوْمَ خَادِمٌ، غَدًا مَخْدُومٌ "**
- **Translation:** *Today a servant, tomorrow a master.*
- **Meaning:** One’s circumstances can change—humility today may lead to power tomorrow.
64. الزَّوَاجُ: سُرُورُ شَهْرٍ، وَغُمُومُ دَهْرٍ، وَقُصُورُ ظَهْرٍ، وَ وُصُولُ قَبْرٍ
- **Translation:** *Marriage is a month of joy, a lifetime of sorrows, a weakening of the back, and a hastening to the grave.*
- **Meaning:** A pessimistic saying about marriage, implying that its initial happiness is short-lived, followed by lifelong struggles.
65. **" كُلُّ جَدِيدٍ لَذِيذٌ "**
- **Translation:** *Everything new is delightful.*
- **Meaning:** Novelty is exciting, but its appeal may fade over time (similar to "the honeymoon phase").
66. **" النَّاسُ يَرَوْنَ النُّقْطَةَ السَّوْدَاءَ فِي الثِّيَابِ البَيْضَاءِ "**
- **Translation:** *People see the black dot on white clothes.*
- **Meaning:** People tend to focus on small flaws rather than overall goodness (like spotting a single stain on clean fabric).
67. **" لَا تَكُنْ إمَّعَةً "**
- **Translation:** *Do not be a blind follower.*
- **Meaning:** Avoid mindlessly conforming to others; think independently.
