**يس (Yaseen) – A Name of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) in the Quran**

The name **"يس" (Yaseen)** appears in the Quran as one of the titles of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). It is the opening word of **Surah Yaseen (Chapter 36)**, one of the most revered chapters in the Quran.

---

 **Quranic Reference: Surah Yaseen (36:1-2)**

يسٓ ١

وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ ٢

*"Yaseen. By the Wise Quran..."*

---

 **Interpretations of "Yaseen"**
Scholars have different interpretations regarding the meaning of **"Yaseen"**:

1. **A Name of the Prophet (ﷺ)**

- Many scholars, including **Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه)**, consider **"Yaseen"** to be one of the names of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).

- **Evidence:** Some narrations suggest that when Allah addresses **"Yaseen"**, He is directly calling the Prophet (ﷺ), similar to how **"Ya Sin"** can be a term of endearment.

2. **An Abbreviated Oath or Symbolic Word**

- Some scholars suggest that **"Yaseen"** is a**mysterious letter (like Alif Lam Meem)** and a divine oath, emphasizing the importance of the Surah.

3. **A Title Meaning "O Leader of Mankind"**

- Some linguists derive **"Yaseen"** from **"Ya Insan" (O Human)** or **"Ya Sayyid" (O Leader)**, indicating the Prophet’s (ﷺ) role as the leader of humanity.

---

While **"Yaseen"** is primarily known as the opening of **Surah Yaseen**, strong scholarly opinions hold that it is also a **name or title of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)**. Its exact meaning remains a matter of divine wisdom, but its significance in the Quran is profound.

---

This **comprehensive list** covers all the **names and attributes** of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) mentioned in the Quran, demonstrating his exalted status as the final messenger of Allah. Each name reflects a unique aspect of his mission, character, and relationship with Allah and humanity.
