The Doors of Repentance are Always Open…

* The Doors of Repentance are Always Open…Until they Aren’t *

_One day we may find ourselves looking back on our lives and realizing that we haven’t truly lived_

_That we could have done better. Should have done better_

_That we should have lived a more virtuous and beneficial life_

_It is one of the worst regrets a person can feel.....To lay on your deathbed in regret because you weren’t really happy or content with your life_

Allah says :

[Surah Az-Zumar: 54]

* And turn in repentance to your Lord and submit to Him before the torment comes to you, then you will not be helped... 39.54 *

[Surah Az-Zumar: 55]

* And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord before the torment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive... 39.55*

_The repetition is for emphasis. To draw our attention. To get us to pay attention_

To what? Allah answers in the very next verse.

[Surah Az-Zumar: 56]

* Lest a soul should say, ‘Oh [how great is] my regret over what I neglected in regard to Allah and that I was among the mockers.’... 39.56 *

..........

* THE ARROGANCE OF REPENTANCE *

_ Many people ask why the memory of their past sin does not leave their mind even after seeking repentance?_

Do you know what? This is actually a favor of Allah. If we were certain that our Tawbah has been accepted would our hearts have remained humble?

We would be arrogant and, may Allah protect us, committed the same sin or even worse something greater than that

_We should never sit comfortably after seeking repentance. While we should hasten to repent, we should also ask Allah for its acceptance. _

_* Acceptance is a matter of the Unseen. Only Allah knows whose and when our repentance is accepted*_

We have no count of our minor sins. We do not know where we stand.

Therefore, never be complacent with your Tawbah and know that remorse is a good thing.

It is this remorse that will protect us from falling into the sin again.
